Bottom Only— LEVEL I

For the fastest turnaround and most ecnomical pricing we offer this Level 1 option. The tombstones are machined on the top and bottom only. The side edge pads are milled but not tapped.  

Faced — Level II

For a more turnkey application we offer this Level 2 option. The tombstones are machined on the top and bottom and faced on all the workholding sides. The side edge pads are milled and drilled and tapped for 5/8 –11 bolts.  All workholding faces are faced off to .020” over nominal width dimension allowing for truing to individual machines. 

DriLled & Tapped — Level III

For still more turnkey application we offer this Level 3 option. The tombstones are machined on the top and bottom and faced on all the workholding sides. The side edge pads are milled and drilled and tapped for 5/8 –11 bolts.  All workholding faces are faced off to .020” over nominal width dimension allowing for truing to individual machines.  All workholding faces are  drilled and tapped for 1/2”-13 set-up bolts on a 2” grid. 

Ground & Qualified — Level IV

This option takes a level 3 tombstone and sends it to final grinding.  All workholding faces are surface ground and CMM inspected to assure perpendicularity and parallelism tollerances. 

 

   

 

 

 

Standard Specifications

Mounting

All tombstones come standard with two mounting options- JIS side edge locating or 50mm Din center pin locating. Mounting holes are  for 5/8” - 11 or M16 Sockethead cap screws and are counterbored to sit flush.   Tombstones for Mori Seiki machines come with English grid or Metric mounting.  Specify /E or /M
